The term “handcrafted” may mean something different to each person. For the purpose of this policy, “handcrafted” means you either (1) made it from scratch by hand (2) someone under your supervision made the product from scratch by hand or (3) you purchased the unscented, unflavored and/or uncolored product in bulk and added your own scent, flavor and/or color and/or other additives to distinguish it in your line of products.

If 80% or more of your products are “handcrafted” within this definition, then they qualify for coverage under this policy.

ADDITIONAL INSURED

An additional insured is a person or organization (not an employee or a friend) that can be added to your insurance policy by endorsement. When you provide additional insured status to a person or organization, your policy will protect that additional insured for claims arising out of your negligence.

The majority of venues, promoters, vendors or stores will require you to add them as an additional insured before they will allow you to occupy their premises and/or sell products. Those that require an additional insured status on your policy will usually have it written into a contract or agreement. It is a simple procedure to add them to your policy.

Yes. Simply log in to your account on the website and you will be able to print off your certificates within minutes.

There is no cost to add an additional insured for the handcrafted soap and cosmetics coverage, handcrafted artisan and crafter coverage or the food and beverage policies. You can add as many additional insureds as needed and send them certificates accordingly. All you have to do is log in to your account and under the policy screen, click on the “add additional insured” button.

There is a cost to add additional insureds for the esthetician and massage therapist coverage. The cost is $15 for a single additional insured and $30 for unlimited.
